Learn Spanish "Your Way"
ABOUT US:
Two gringos (both with previous teaching experience at the college level), living in Medellin Colombia, went looking for a school that offered Spanish Classes. They were not pleased with what they found. They ultimately started private lessons through a local language school and began to improve their levels of Spanish speaking, reading and writing abilities.
They also had a lot of friends visiting occasionally, whose Spanish speaking ranged from no more than Hola and Gracias to some people who could speak fairly well, (although rusty from lack of use).
We heard it so often, "I've gotta learn some (or more) Spanish!"
"Why don't you take some classes?", we would suggest.
"Oh, I don't have time when I am working and don't want to spend all day in a class when I am on vacation"!
"Could you handle 2 hours per day?", we would ask.
"Sure, that would be perfect." Followed by comments like:
"I just need to learn a few words and phrases so I
don't feel like such and idiot all the time"
"I took Spanish in school but have forgotten a lot of it
because I don't get to use it very often. I just need a
little refresher".
"I can speak, read and write but when it comes to
understanding them when they talk so fast I just can't
can't keep up with them"
"I've got a girlfriend here and I just want to be able to
have simple conversations with her"
"I'd sure like to learn some of these Latin Dances
so I could go to the clubs and dance with the locals."

All of our teachers have over 10 years of teaching and curriculum development experience at the University and Secondary level. They love teaching tourists and Medellin visitors in small 2-5 person classrooms and creating custom curriculums. They are constantly amazed at how much their students learn in a 10 hour course but we teach in a very fun interactive manner.
You will find no compromise with quality teaching at MLI. The courses are ruled both by the Common European Framework of references for languages (CEF) and the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) guidelines for short term classes.

Qualified Teachers: Your teachers have excellent preparation and curriculum development skills as well as lengthy experience in the Spanish teaching field.
Pre-placement Evaluation: It is very important to place you in the proper level so you can take maximum advantage of your class time at the language school. Therefore, the first day you will be evaluated in order to establish a learning plan that fits your needs. Furthermore, your teacher will evaluate you every day to monitor your progress. You may accelerate classes at anytime without a change fee. IE: Basic-I to Basic-II; Intermediate-I to Intermediate-II Etc.
Excellent Western Standards headquarters: Quiet non-smoking classrooms, library, social facilities, computers, US and Western European phone lines, audio/visual equipment, cultural activities and more, that create a friendly comfortable learning environment. You will be surrounded by bilingual instructors, administrators and staff as well as other western students from various walks of life and various levels of Spanish speaking ability. You will be in an environment to "learn Spanish your way". Learn All 4 Language Skills: The balanced curriculum includes listening comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing (and lots of practice while you are in Medellin visiting).
